Mar 6 – CB100: Centennial Celebration
Celebrate 100 years of Carolina Beach with historical tours, themed food and drinks, murals, a music festival, and a boat flotilla. Events take place throughout the town from March to September, honoring its rich coastal history and vibrant community.
Mar 6 – CB100: Centennial Sculpture Dedication
Unveiling of the “I Love Carolina Beach” sculpture, designed by NC artists Tim Sheaffer and Paul Veto. This colorful installation, located near the marina and boardwalk, is a tribute to the town’s centennial and its connection to the ocean.
Mar 8-15 – Pleasure Island Restaurant Week
Savor the flavors of Pleasure Island as top restaurants in Carolina Beach and Kure Beach offer special prix-fixe menus and signature dishes. This week-long culinary celebration highlights the area’s coastal cuisine and vibrant dining scene.

Celebrate the cultural and historical significance of rice in North Carolina with a day of live music, educational talks, arts and crafts, and family-friendly activities. The event features performances, food vendors, and historical presentations, with a focus on the Gullah Geechee heritage.

This festive 5K and 10K race along the Carolina Beach Boardwalk honors two inspiring community members. Participants are encouraged to wear Irish-themed attire, with an awards ceremony and after-party following the event.

Immerse yourself in a Greek-inspired evening of myth and flavor featuring Mediterranean cuisine, cocktails, and belly dancing. Guests are encouraged to dress in blue, white, and gold for this enchanting toga soirée filled with culinary delights and cultural traditions.

A two-day culinary festival showcasing the best of Wilmington’s food and drink scene. Highlights include a Riverside Pier Party, Brunch Elevated, and Craft+Cuisine, pairing 20 talented chefs with 20 craft breweries for a unique tasting experience.

Apr 10-13 – NC Black Film Festival
An annual celebration of independent films created by African-American filmmakers, featuring shorts, animation, documentaries, and feature films. Screenings take place at various locations, offering a diverse and engaging cinematic experience.
Apr 12 – Living History: Women of Brunswick

Apr 12-13 – Pleasure Island Spring Surf Fishing Challenge
Compete in this land-based surf fishing tournament for a chance to win cash prizes. Open to teams and solo anglers, the event showcases the incredible fishing opportunities along the Carolina Beach and Kure Beach shoreline.
Apr 13 – HDWM Artisan Market
A weekly outdoor market featuring handmade art, jewelry, and crafts by local artists. With a rotating selection of vendors, this vibrant market offers fresh finds every Sunday in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington.
Apr 26 – Wilmington Earth Day

Apr 26 – Landfall Foundation Gala
Join the Landfall Foundation from 6pm-11pm for A Musical Tribute to Las Vegas. Proceeds support the Landfall Foundation grants program. Feathers, Fedoras and Black Ties are welcomed!
Apr 27 – Family Fun Day
A free family-friendly event featuring pony rides, a petting zoo, games, crafts, and live entertainment. Kids can enjoy face painting and storytelling while parents explore the historic Bellamy Mansion.
